He is the oldest grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and he is currently 17th in the line of succession to the British monarchy to follow his uncle King Charles III. He is the eldest grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Before beginning his career at Jaguar Racing, Phillips received his education from the University of Exeter. At the moment, he is serving in the capacity of managing director for SEL UK, which is a boutique sports management organization. In 2008, they were married in the Chapel of St. George at Windsor Castle. Autumn Kelly was a management consultant from Canada. They were married, had two children together, but divorced in 2021 after separating in 2019.

Early life and education

Peter Phillips was born in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London, United Kingdom, on November 15, 1977, at 10:46 in the morning. Princess Anne and Mark Phillips had been married in 1973 and were expecting their first child together. He was their first kid. A 41-gun salute was fired from the Tower of London at the moment of his birth in honor of his birth. Christening took place at the Music Room of Buckingham Palace on the 22nd of December, 1977, and was presided over by Archbishop Donald Coggan of Canterbury. His maternal uncle, the Prince of Wales, as well as Geoffrey Tiarks, Captain Hamish Lochore, Lady Cecil Cameron of Lochiel, and Jane Holderness-Roddam, were his godparents. Other godparents included the Prince of Wales.

At the time of his birth, Phillips occupied the fifth position in the line of succession to the throne, a position he held until the birth of his cousin, Prince William, in 1982. It is reported that his parents turned down proposals made by his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, that would have allowed him to be born into a peerage. Phillips was the first genuine grandchild of a monarch to be born without a title or courtesy title in more than 500 years, making him the first person to ever do so. Zara Tindall (née Phillips; born 1981) is Phillips’ younger sister. He also has two younger half-sisters: Felicity Wade (née Tonkin; born 1985), the daughter of Mark Phillips and his ex-mistress Heather Tonkin; and Stephanie Phillips (born 1997), the daughter from his father’s second marriage to Sandy Pflueger. Zara Tindall is the daughter of Mark Phillips and his former mistress Heather Tonkin.

Before joining other members of his family at Gordonstoun School in Moray, Scotland, Phillips received his early education at Port Regis Prep School in Shaftesbury, which is located in the county of Dorset. While he was attending Gordonstoun, he was selected to serve as the head boy. During his gap year, he traveled to Sydney and worked for Sports Entertainment Limited (SEL), a company that he would later return to work for. During that time, he also worked for Jackie Stewart’s Formula One racing team.

He earned a degree in sports science from the University of Exeter, where he studied for his whole academic career. He was a member of the Rugby League team representing Exeter University.

After receiving his degree in the year 2000, Phillips went on to work for Jaguar in the capacity of corporate hospitality manager and subsequently for the Williams racing team in the capacity of sponsorship accounts manager. Both positions were held simultaneously. When Phillips and three other Williams employees were traveling through China in 2004 in a van, they were involved in an accident in which the vehicle was hit by a car. Phillips did not sustain any injuries. In September of 2005, he parted ways with Williams in order to take a position as a manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland in Edinburgh. He parted ways with RBS in March 2012 in order to accept a position as managing director at SEL UK.

He was the guest of honor for the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium in August 2012, which was played between the Warrington Wolves and the Leeds Rhinos.

Phillips was in charge of organizing the “Patron’s Lunch” for the celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday that took place in the year running up to June 2016, when the event took place. It featured a picnic with hampers for 10,000 people in addition to a march that went down The Mall.

Phillips made an appearance in an advertising for the Chinese brand Bright Food in the month of January 2020. In the video, he promotes the company’s milk by implying that he is a member of the British royal family, despite the fact that he is not.

Personal life

Elizabeth Lorio, an heiress from the United States who made her fortune in the cod liver oil industry, was Phillips’ girlfriend for two years, and they even lived together for eight months in 2001. After that, he dated flight attendant Tara Swain for a total of four months during their time together.

In 2003, while attending the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, Phillips made the acquaintance of Autumn Kelly, a management consultant from Canada.

On July 28, 2007, they made the happy announcement of their engagement.

Before she got married, Kelly was baptized and confirmed in the Church of England, despite the fact that she had been raised in the Catholic Church. Because of the stipulations of the Act of Settlement 1701, which have since been repealed, Phillips would have lost his place in the line of succession to the throne if she had been a Roman Catholic at the time of their marriage. The couple was reportedly paid £500,000 to appear in an interview and photo shoot with Hello! magazine shortly before their wedding. This sparked some alarm among royal insiders. The shoot took place just before the couple’s wedding. They exchanged vows on May 17th, 2008, at St. George’s Chapel, which is located inside Windsor Castle. David Conner, the Dean of Windsor, presided over the ceremony and led the congregation in prayer. After Phillips was promoted inside the Royal Bank of Scotland to the post of head of the bank’s sponsorship activities in the region, the couple decided to make their home in Hong Kong.

At Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on December 29, 2010, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter they named Savannah Anne Kathleen. She is also the first great-grandchild the Queen will ever have. At the baptism of the baby, which took place on April 23, 2011, the Queen was present. The ceremony took place at the Church of the Holy Cross in Avening, Gloucestershire, which is located close to Gatcombe Park, where Phillips’ mother lives. The succession order places Savannah eighteenth in line to the throne. Isla Elizabeth was the couple’s second daughter and was born at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on March 29th, 2012. She was named after Isla Elizabeth. Her position in the succession to the throne is 19th.

On the 11th of February in 2020, Phillips and his wife confirmed that they had divorce proceedings in the works and announced that they had split the previous year. On June 14, 2021, a settlement was reached regarding the divorce.

Phillips was questioned by the police in March 2021 after traveling by automobile from Gloucestershire to Aberdeenshire in order to visit a friend, despite the fact that movement restrictions were in place in the United Kingdom as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic. A spokesman for Phillips has stated that he was “on a business trip in relation to a firm named XL Medical” during the time of the trip, which the police have determined did not violate any of the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions in place at the time of the travel.

Following the dissolution of his marriage, Phillips began a romantic relationship with Lindsay Wallace, with whom he would go on to make their public debut as a pair at the Epsom Derby in June 2022.
