Umesh Katti Biography


It is believed that Umesh Vishwanath Katti was a political activist in India who was affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. Beginning on August 4, 2021, he served as Karnataka’s Minister of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, and the Forestry Department. The tragic loss of Katti occurred on September 7th, 2022. He served in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly for a combined total of six terms during his time there. In 1985, when his father Vishwanath Katti, who had been a member of the Legislative Assembly, passed away, he made the decision to pursue a career in politics. His father had been a member of the Legislative Assembly. In the elections for the Karnataka Legislative Assembly that took place in 2013, he ran as a candidate from the Hukkeri assembly constituency and won with 81,810 votes. These elections took place in Karnataka. On September 6, 2022, he suffered a severe heart attack when he was in the bathroom of his home, and he later passed out. On September 7, 2022, at 00:01 IST, he took his last breath in the M S Ramaiah Hospital in Bangalore. He had been there till September 7.
